Forklift Operator Training

Our forklift operator training is offered to both companies and private individuals.

A forklift is used to transport and lift materials in warehouses and various other settings. These machines are considered to be an extremely dangerous vehicle to operate and therefore, requires specialised training to operate. The Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 requires all forklift operators to have accredited training every 24 months.

Our forklift training course is designed for companies who use forklifts in the workplace. The course covers electric, diesel, petrol and gas operator licensing requirements, in accordance with the Driven Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

The person credited with this course is able to operate a forklift in a safe manner with less risk of an accident happening. They will also be able to conduct pre and post inspections to ensure the performance of the machine. The person will be able to handle the loading and storage of freight by using the equipment and its accessories in the required manner. They will also be able to access the emergency system and services in the event of an incident or accident.

Forklift Course Information

Students accredited with this standard will be able to operate lift trucks for the safe and efficient movement and stacking of freight in a variety of work environments, and take basic care of the equipment in compliance with lift truck manufacturers` and legislated standards.
